Hilltop Villa

Hilltop Villa is located in a very beautiful central located gated resort in the edge of Willemstad, just a walking distance from the famous Sea Aquarium Beach. This is 'the heart' of Curacao with lots of activities, beach life, beach bars and happy hours. The Dolphin Academy is just round the corner.
The villa is less than 8 minutes from Salinja (shopping area) and only 10 minutes drive from town center (Punda), with its sociable terraces, shops, and restaurants.

Your privacy and security are guaranteed by the 24 hours security at the resort. The resort has a nice large pool with outside shower and bathrooms, wide terrace around the pool, parasols and pool chairs, where guests can make use of. Here you can also see the luxurious cruising ships passing by. From Hilltop Villa resort La Privada are there several restaurants, supermarkets, and a gas station conveniently located within a 5 to 10 minutes drive. The nearest beaches are Mambo (Sea Aquarium, where you can swim with the dolphins), Cabana Beach, Wet and Wild beach, and Jan Thiel Beach. The western part of the island, at 35 minutes drive distance, has beautiful, untouched nature, fantastic dive and snorkel sites, natural parks and a lot of nice beaches and bays such as Playa Porto Marie, Daaibooi, Cas Abao, Knipbaai.

THE VILLA

Hilltop Villa is located uphill, on the highest spot of the La Privada resort. This magnificent villa, with its breath taking view, is divided in two living parts on one floor. The main living area has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, a walk in closet, a well equipped kitchen and big living room. The dining area, with a big wooden dinning table and chairs, you will find outside on the huge patio. The big patio also has a private swimming pool/tub. From this cozy pool or from the dinner table will have a magnificent sea view to enjoy sunsets and the tropical atmosphere. When you enter the Villa, you find on the left hand side a smaller living area with 2 additional single beds, which can be rented with the Villa. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and with a kitchen-living room. The kitchen-living room leads to a private terrace where you can enjoy a view over Curacao, with your morning coffee. Be warned, you might be 'disturbed' by humming-birds (kolibri's) and parrots. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. There is a baby bed present in the villa.

Complimentary Late Check out

Unlike a hotel, we do not charge our guests for late checkouts. Standard check out is at 11:00. If there is no arrival, or late arrival on the day of your departure, you can check out any time you like. This gives you the comfort to fully enjoy your last day, and take a shower before you step into the plane.If guests arrive the same day of your departure we can ask you to let the cleaning crew start after 11:00 while you are still able to check out late and use the shower.

Arrival and Departure

Upon arrival to the island our host(ess) will wait for the guests at the apartment, or he/she will meet them at the airport if escort service is requested. It is therefor important to provide us with your arrival flight information for us to track any changes in the arrival time of your flight.

The host(ess) will show the apartment to the guests, give you the key, provide you with the basic information about Curacao, and answer any questions you might have. The guests will need to complete a check-in form, which the hostess will keep. The guests are responsible for the apartment during their stay. A credit card imprint is required as a deposit when guests check in.

The host(ess) will discuss the departure time with you, which can be at any time convinient for you, as long as there is no arrival on the day of your departure.
At check out the host(ess) will inspect the apartment for damage, if there are no problems the credit card imprint will be destroyed.
Emergency 24/7 assistance

After office hours, we offer an emergency cell number if you need immediate assistance, 24/7.
Household items

Toilet paper, soaps and garbage bags will be placed in the apartment prior to your arrival. Other articles such as detergent, washing powder, paper towels, matchboxes, herbs, cooking oil, insecticide, etc. are not standard. These are for the account of guests.

For those who would like basic items in the fridge, we offer our grocery service.
Cleaning

The accommodation will be cleaned every 3 to 4 days.

Linnen and Towels

Bed linen, towels and beach towels are all present in the properties and will be replaced by the house keeper at cleaning.

During your stay you can contact our office during office hours with your questions or service requests.

If you are arriving late in the day, or especially if you're traveling with children, please ask to have your rental pre-stocked with groceries of your choice or our standard welcome food pack (US$ 60.00 for 2 person, US 100,00 for 4 person). Either service is well worth the nominal fee so you can settle right into your rental and relax without having to rush off to the grocery store.

Car Rental

We offer our guest the FREE service of car rental reservation. On the Car Rental page you will find more information about the available price options.

We strongly recommend having the car delivered at your property or at the airport.
The big car rental companies situated in the airport do NOT operate like you are used to and many times you end up waiting for a very long time, receiving a damaged car with 1/4 tank.
We offer new cars from good rental companies, all air conditioned, that can be delivered at the airport waiting for you to simply step in, or at your property. In case you let the car drop of at your property we can arrange a taxi service for you.
Also think about it that a family of 4 fits in a small car, with attractive rental rate, but that does not include your luggage. With the taxi dropping you off and the rental car delivered at your property you are well taken care of.
Taxi Transfer and HATO Escort Service

You may prefer to take a taxi to your accommodation on your arrival date and have your rental car dropped of at your accommodation for instance the following date. This is not a problem. We can reserve a taxi for you. The taxi will meet you at the airport and will hold a sign with your name, so you know which taxi is yours.Cost of taxi depends on the rental's location and number of passengers. Average cost for most locations is about US$30-50.

Reservation at least one week in advance is recommended. Payment is due directly to taxi driver when you arrive at your rental.

Escort service from the airport to your rental property can also be arranged. Escort service entails that a hostess will welcome you at the airport, show you where you can pick up your rental car, and then lead you from the airport to your vacation rental in her own vehicle.
If it's your first visit to Curacao than we highly recommend this service. It will save you from having to find your way to your accommodation on your own. This can be very time consuming as many roads on the island are not clearly marked.
After 7 P.M., Curacao is dark. In some roads there is very poor public lighting, which makes it even more difficult to find your way.
The cost for this service is US$30 - US$45 depending on distance from the airport. Payment is due in cash directly to hostess upon arrival at your accommodation.
